Brunch@Queen of Hearts Cafe

I last wrote about Queen of Hearts Cafe back in 2014 when I had just started this blog, I decide to write about it again because a lot has changed about Queen of Hearts Cafe since then. Since then,  Queen Hearts Cafe has undergone an amazing evolution that has lead to it becoming a self contained bustling little community  with a gym, yoga studio, hairdressers, florists, a clothing store, a craft store, and much more.  Queen of Hearts Cafe  remains  a great place to go just for coffee with a friend or lunch or an afternoon snack.  Their menu offers a wide selection of sandwiches, salads,  authentic Indian dishes from their tandoori oven,  a good selection of daily baked goods as well as delicious artisan ice cream. On top of all of that on Friday's they do  wood fired pizzas until 9.00pm.

In addition and most importantly for me, Queen of Hearts Cafe is also a great place to work, it has often been my first choice of place to work on the rare occasions when I have had a power cut at home because they have free wifi and space to accommodate those who need to get some work done.

Opening Times:
Mon -Friday 7.00am-5.00pm

The Vintage Sale @ ISU Collections

I was at the Vintage Sale at ISU Collections this weekend, it was my first vintage  clothes sale, so I wasn't sure what to expect...The Vintage Sale was organized by Fashion Blogger Chiedza Mahere in collaboration with ISU Collections.  I learnt that vintage sales are an opportunity to discover a few unique treasures, a chance to channel bygone eras, knowing no one is likely to have that same item and that each item has its own story...I think that there is a romantic and nostalgic element to the idea of vintage clothing...and it is clothing with meaning. It was a good even and it was clear that the people involved took time to put it together paying attention to the details. I hope to see this event grow...

Coffee @Café de Paris

This weekend I went out to look for some paint for a DIY project, and I stopped by 47 Churchill Avenue, in Alexandra Park, to check their selection of paints and other items. After I was done, I was just about to get back into my car and drive back home, when I noticed a new café that wasn't there the last time I was there. I walked into Café de Paris for the first time... it's  a cute café specializing in handmade French pastries and croissants...see the pics below...The owner, Marc, has been supplying French pastries  to establishments in Harare for a number of years  and  two months ago he finally  opened his own cafe  bringing the true and authentic  taste of France  to Zimbabwe... If you are in the area its worth visiting this little café.
